Education for Underserved Communities

Where to Give:

The disparity in educational outcomes in the US is staggering, driven largely by highly variable levels of funding at the state and local levels. More often than not, the schools that have the lowest funding are those that serve our highest need students. The global pandemic has only led to further disparity in educational opportunities, with the wealthiest students continuing to receive the highest quality education while those in underserved communities lag behind at even higher rates.

This $750,000 matching pool will be focused solely on organizations that serve students who don’t have access to the same resources as their peers due to disparities in socioeconomic status, race, religion, or language. Typically, these groups of students include low-income, underrepresented racial and ethnic minorities, and first-generation students.

We believe strongly in the power of education as an equalizer and are inspired to support educational non profits that are working to lessen these gaps by making schools and education more equitable, with a laser focus on serving all students. Whether you support your local public schools, a charter school lowering the achievement gap, an organization bringing the arts to underfunded schools, or a non profit focused on getting all students to college, you will be ensuring that all the young people in our country have access to the educational opportunities that they deserve.
